Dorothy Fong

PRACTICE PROFILE

Ms. Fong is an associate at Theall Group LLP. Her practice focuses primarily on class action litigation.

Ms. Fong has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in Ontario and at the Supreme Court of Canada. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1995 and is a member of the British Columbia bar.

Ms. Fong was a member of the counsel team in Garland v. Consumers Gas (criminal interest rate class action) and achieved success before the Supreme Court of Canada. She was also part of the counsel team that settled notable class action cases such as Godi v. TTC (1995 subway crash), Anderson v. Wilson (Hepatitis B outbreak due to improper sterilization of EEG equipment), Rose v. Pettle (improper sterilization of acupuncture needles), Maguire v. Algoma Medical Group (improper sterilization of endoscopic equipment) and Atkinson v. Ault Foods (dispute over employees’ benefits).
