Scott Fairley
Practice Profile
Scott Fairley is a partner at Theall Group LLP. Scott has a broadly
based counsel and advisory practice in the fields of public and private
international law, international business and trade law, constitutional
and administrative law, and transnational arbitration and litigation.
He has appeared before both Ontario and Federal courts, and has had extensive
experience as counsel in the Supreme Court of Canada. Scott has received
an "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell, their highest rating,
identifying him as a lawyer with "very high to preeminent legal ability."

Professional Involvement
Mr. Fairley is a current member of the Commercial Arbitration
Panels of the Arbitration and Mediation Institutes of Canada and Ontario
and ADR Chambers International (Toronto), the International Law Association,
and the American Bar Association Section of International Law and Practice.
Scott is a member and past President of the Canadian Council on International
Law (1992-1994), former National Section Chair for Constitutional Law
(1991-1993) and National Section Chair for International Law (1998-2000)
of the Canadian Bar Association, and a founding editor of the Canadian
International Lawyer.
Scott has spoken and published widely in Canada and abroad on both international
and constitutional law issues and taught as a sessional lecturer at the
University of Windsor and University of Ottawa law schools and at Osgoode
Hall Law School at York University.
